This day of fun, excitement and learning is presented by the Hamilton County Park District, RiverWorks Discovery and AEP River Operations with support from The Ohio River Way, General Electric, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and The Carol Ann & Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation.

Over 4,000 children are expected to participate in this year’s events making this the largest outdoor water safety and environmental education program for children in the Midwest.

We hope you will join us this year as we have added new presentations and exhibits that we think will be fun as well as educational to children.

New this year is towboat tours on an actual towboat provided by RiverWorks Discovery & AEP River Operations. Children will receive a guided tour by the Captain and crew of the vessel and have an opportunity to learn firsthand what it is like to work on a towboat on the river. Crewmembers will be on hand to answer questions about “river life” and to educate the children about the many careers on a towboat. This is sure to be a high point at this year’s Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo, so be sure not to miss it!

The Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo is a unique opportunity to spark the interest of children in the world of nature while enhancing their academic achievement in science, technology, math and engineering.

Through exhibits, presentations and hands-on activities, the event is designed to engage, educate and entertain while helping children learn what they can do to protect the environment.
